Afrikraft Brings Color and Creativity to the Complete Women Convention Fair

Some events are more than gatherings, they’re living stories of purpose, creativity, and community. That’s exactly what the Complete Woman Convention Fair in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, felt like for us at The Afrikraft Fashion House.
Hosted by Victory City Church, under the leadership of Pastor Mr & Mrs Solomon Onoja, this inspiring event was part of their annual Complete Woman Convention, a celebration of faith, growth, and empowerment. And one of its most exciting moments? The happening trade fair that brought together creativity, entrepreneurship, and sisterhood under one joyful roof.
We were honored to be part of it not once, but twice in 2024 and again in 2025. From the moment we set up our stand, we could feel it that electric mix of excitement, inspiration, and endless “oohs” and “aahs” from visitors discovering our pieces for the first time.

Every corner of the fair told a story from handmade jewelry to local delicacies, each woman showcased a piece of herself, her faith, and her creativity.

For us at Afrikraft, it wasn’t just about fashion. It was about sharing a message that African creativity is powerful, profitable, and deeply personal.

We showcased vibrant African prints, handcrafted accessories, and unique pieces from our Waste-to-Wealth collection. Watching women light up as they realized sustainability and style could exist in the same outfit that was pure joy.

One of our favorite moments came when a woman told us:

“I’ve always loved African prints, but seeing what you’ve done here makes me believe I can start something of my own too.”

That’s the kind of encounter that stays with you. For us, this fair wasn’t just a trade opportunity, it was ministry through fashion.
A reminder that creativity itself can be worship, a way to honour the gifts God has placed in our hands.

Our 2024 experience was unforgettable, filled with laughter, learning, and love from the Yenagoa community. But 2025? It was even more special.

Coming back felt like coming home. We saw familiar faces, returning customers proudly wearing our designs, and new women ready to explore their creative dreams.

It reminded us that community is the true fabric that holds creativity together. When women lift one another, everything grows in faith, business, and confidence.

Looking back, the Women Convention Trade Fair was more than an event. It was a reminder that Afrikraft isn’t just a fashion house, it’s part of a bigger story: one of faith, creativity, and community.

We left Yenagoa with full hearts, new friendships, and the joyful certainty that fashion can be ministry and ministry can be beautiful.
To every woman using her gifts, her hands, and her heart , keep creating. The world needs your light.
