Afrikraft Makes Its Runway Debut at Ibadan Urban Fashion Weekend 2025

April 19, 2025, will forever be etched in our hearts, the day Afrikraft stepped boldly onto the runway for the very first time.

The Ibadan Urban Fashion Weekend 2025 (IUFW’25) was more than just an event; it was a beautiful collision of fashion, art, and music. Held at the JSC Event Center, the atmosphere buzzed with creativity; lights, cameras, colors, and the pulse of a city that’s fast becoming Nigeria’s new fashion capital.

The event brought together emerging and established designers, fashion enthusiasts, artists, and musicians in one electrifying space. From the morning workshops to the exhibitions and the grand runway showcase, IUFW’25 was a melting pot of innovation and self-expression.

For us at Afrikraft, it was a dream come true. From producing our very first piece years ago to now showcasing on a real runway, we could feel how far we’d come. Our collection, Wear Africa, told stories of pride, heritage, and identity. Every stitch was a celebration of culture meeting contemporary style.

Wear Africa was more than just fabric and fashion. It was a story. Each outfit carried the pulse of African creativity that is bold, timeless, and rooted in culture.

From our handcrafted details to our sustainable design ethos, every look reflected who we are: a brand dedicated to celebrating Africa’s heritage with modern artistry.

As our models graced the runway, you could feel the energy shift. Eyes lit up, cameras clicked, and the applause grew louder. It was surreal.
A dream years in the making, finally unfolding under the lights.

Our first runway experience became even more memorable when one of our masterpieces sold out right at the event! It was humbling and exhilarating, a proof that authentic creativity always finds its audience.

That moment reminded us that we are exactly where we’re meant to be: telling African stories through craftsmanship, passion, and purpose.

And then came the unforgettable moment, one of our masterpieces sold out right at the event! The energy, the cheers, and the connection with the audience reminded us why we do what we do which is to make African creativity wearable, powerful, and timeless.

IUFW 2025 wasn’t just another event, it was a new chapter in our journey. We left the runway inspired, grateful, and more determined than ever to continue turning African fashion into global art.

To everyone who stopped by, cheered, and believed in us, thank you for being part of our story.

The runway may have ended, but our journey is only beginning. We are Afrikraft and we will keep wearing Africa with pride.
